We specialize in:
Citizenship and Naturalization
Gaining U.S. citizenship can be a detailed process. To become a citizen, you must be a legal permanent resident for at least 5 years or 3 years or married to a U.S. citizen. The application process also requires residents to take an English exam and U.S. civics test. These are only some of the requirements to gain citizenship by naturalization. Citizenship may also be derived or acquired depending on a parent’s citizenship status at the child’s birth and years present in the United States.
Permanent residents are not required to naturalize. However, the benefits of citizenship are plentiful. As a citizen you can vote, petition for more family members, travel for extended periods, become eligible for federal jobs, and be protected from deportation. Don’t go through this process alone. Talk to an immigration lawyer for help.
Family-Based Green Cards
Petitioning for family members involves detailed and precise paperwork. Improperly filed forms can cause significant delays and keep families apart. To begin the process of getting family to the U.S., consult with an immigration attorney who can help in the process.
Employment-Based Green Cards
Many American employers seek to bring skilled workers to the United States each year. Labor certifications for employers and certain degrees for employees are some of the requirements to obtain certain work visas. From professional athletes and entertainers to farm workers and STEM field professionals, it can be difficult to navigate the immigration process to obtain an employment visa and green card. An immigration lawyer can demystify the forms and better explain the requirements.
Crimmigration

Criminal offenses can have a harsh effect on immigration status. Many offenses can make a resident inadmissible or deportable. In some cases, criminal charges can be forgiven. Before deciding to plead to a criminal charge, seek the advice of an experienced “crimmigration” attorney.
